We went to a remote village on an off-road track through the mountains and forest to reach a very welcoming big heart Philippines family. In Indonesia as in Vietnam and Thailand the head is considered to be sacred and clean while feet are close to the ground and considered to be dirty. that’s why in most of the places one needs to leave the shoes at the door. it does not matter if it’s a travel agency or a shop:)
