Pillows are for us are one of the most important factors for having a good sleep.
Most places ignore this important aspect and they provide really stiff or uncomfortable pillows made of less natural filling.
RATING: 9/10 very good pillows. I loved that we each had 2 pillows ( one big and one smaller) and 2 other decorative ones
Many other aspects are equally important, but the bed is what you actually pay for sleeping
RATING 10/10 comfy king size bed, very nice arranged with a lot of pillows.
If you will hear traffic, roosters or the other guests from the other rooms you can have a nightmare instead of good sleep and be up all night. This happened to us a few times.
Even though Hotel Aruga is positioned in a good location in Makati, next to a shopping mall, other hotels and condominiums flats, it was noisy. In the vecinity of the hotel there’s a busy boulevard and a  construction site. From 7 in the morning you can hear the workers and the big vehicles.

We are seasoned travelers and have eight years experience in managing more than eight hostels and apartments in Romania. We can tell in seconds if the staff pays attention to details to make your stay perfect and to provide you with anything that you need.
RATING 10/10 everything was clean and tidy, tea and coffee in the room. Slippers and very nice bathrobes, plenty of towels and a good selection of toiletries. Big TV and a selection of magazines to read also.
The room had nice furniture, a desk and safe deposit. Each room comes with a fully equipped kitchen and even with washing and drying machine. The apartment has also a confortable sofa.

If you travel for business or for vacation you need to keep in touch with your work, friends and family. A fast and reliable Internet is very appreciated.
RATING 9/10.  Fast and reliable wi-fi.
We feel much better when we find staff and hosts that really enjoy their work and their interaction with the travellers. We also look for more authentic places to stay, from the design to the surroundings.
RATING 8/10 The hotel is modern and we appreciated its design. The staff was very polite and flexible with our request to have a different room, more quiet. They gave us an upgrade to an apartment with kitchen, living room, balcony and a big bedroom. All of this at no extra cost. I think you can call this great customer care.

The breakfast included at your hotel with your stay can save you the time and hassle to find a place to eat in the morning. If you enjoy a hearty breakfast you can jump in to explore the surroundings and not worry for a few hours about food.
They provide breakfast at two nearby locations and you can check the menus before you go there. Then a staff member will take you there with a golf cart. The ride is nice and funny.
The breakfast was good, with a choice of Filipino or international. Tudor had a Filipino breakfast with fish and I had eggs Benedict, both very tasty. You can also choose more dishes, drinks and espresso if you pay. Overall it was good and we enjoyed the outdoor terrace next to the pool and with a view
Especially if you travel as a couple you can get inspired by the hotel you are staying in. The place can ignite your romantic side or cool it off.
RATING 9/10 As it is more a modern and luxury hotel. It is not romantic designed but it definitely makes you feel spoiled. It is just across the street of a shopping mall, restaurants, bars and coffee shops so you have plenty of options to spend your time.
We loved to stay at Aruga by Rockwell. Luxury accommodation, perfect location and excellent customer care.

City recommended places:
If you are like us and you love rooftop bars, Makati has some great bars with breathtaking views.
We went at VU`S at Marco Polo Hotel. You just can’t have enough of the city view with the skyscrapers. And the best of all, they had a offer with 3 cocktails for 500 Php! We tried all of them and had an amazing time.
